Zhermack Elite Glass (C401610)
Zhermack Elite Glass (C401610)
Elite glass is an additional silicone specific for the creation of transparent matrices for aesthetic reconstructions in light-curing composite, with direct technique and indirect technique. Its high transparency and correct processing time make it particularly effective for dyschromia, a diastema, fractures, rotation, conoids, and other types of dental malformations.
- Medium-bodied clear addition silicone.
- Used for making a clear matrix, which can be light-cured through when preparing veneers.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Precise because dimensionally stable over time and after disinfection
- High final hardness (70 Shore A)
- Easily repositionable in the mouth once polymerized
- After polymerization can be finished with cutters or other sharp tools.
APPLICATIONS
- Creation of transparent matrices for the veneering technique
Features
Features
- High transparency of the material
- Excellent photopolymerization of the composite used for restoration
- High-quality standards of the aesthetic restoration
- The versatility of use.
- Easy to reposition in the mouth after setting.

DEVICE PREPARATION:
Assemble the device.
Warning: Before assembling the tip, ensure that the two components (base and catalyst) flow out evenly by applying light pressure on the dispenser lever and extruding a small amount of material, which must be removed. Subsequently, insert the mixing tip and, if required, the intraoral tip in the cartridge (4).
CREATION OF A TRANSPARENT MATRIX:
- Choose a transparent impression tray (e.g. Zhermack hi tray light clear) of suitable dimensions which can contain at least 2 or 3mm of elite glass at minimum thickness.
- Apply elite glass onto the impression tray.
- Position the impression tray in the mouth until the end of the setting time.
- Remove the impression tray from the mouth, rinse under running water and dry the resulting matrix by gently blowing with air.
- Prepare the tooth or teeth according to the chosen technique.
- Treat the enamel and dentine according to the suggestions of the manufacturer of the chosen composite.
- Apply the composite onto the matrix previously prepared with elite glass.
- Reposition the elite glass matrix in the mouth.
- Polymerize according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTION OF THE MATRIX
- After having been rinsed well under running water, the matrix can be disinfected immediately.
Ideal disinfecting is achieved by immersing the impression in Zeta 7 solution (Zhermack) or spraying it with Zeta 7 spray (Zhermack). When using other disinfectants, always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTING THE DISPENSER
- The dispenser can be cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized by immersion in liquid or in a steam autoclave. We recommend Zeta 3 (Zhermack) disinfectant and Zeta 2 (Zhermack) sterilization liquid.
