Description
Description
Xcem Dental Implant Transfer Abutment in a 6mm Hexconfiguration is a vital tool in dental restorations where rotational stability is critical. Specifically designed for applications like single crowns, this abutment features a hexagonal shape that prevents unintended rotation in the mouth, ensuring secure and stable placement of the restoration. Its versatility is showcased through compatibility with a 1.2 hex driver and a recommended narrow 20Ncm joining torque for initial connection, providing a reliable foundation for subsequent dental work. With a disposable and sterilized design, it adheres to stringent medical standards. The abutment, coupled with an accompanying abutment screw, caters to various gum sizes and implant connections, offering dental professionals a dependable solution for achieving optimal results in single crown restorations while prioritizing patient comfort and long-term success.

Prepare the Patient:
- Ensure the patient has undergone the appropriate healing period for osseointegration (usually 3-6 months).
- Remove any cover screw or healing abutment present in the patient's mouth.
Impression and Abutment Selection:
- Take an impression of the healed soft tissue using suitable impression material.
- Choose the type and size of the abutment based on X-ray evaluations and the relationship of adjacent teeth.
Sterilization:
- As the abutment is not sterile, it needs to be sterilized before installation. Autoclave in a dental clinic for at least 30 minutes at 121°C.
Setting the Abutment:
- Place the sterilized abutment in the patient's mouth according to the chosen implant connection (hex/non-hex composition).
Final Impression:
- Take a final impression of the installed abutment.
Restoration:
- If the selected abutment is of the cement-retained type, wax up the abutment on a plaster cast to create the restoration.
Verification and Occlusion Check:
- After restoring, place the fixture or abutment back in the patient's mouth.
- Verify the fit and check the occlusion with the upper and lower surfaces.
Torque Application:
- Follow the recommended torque values (30-35N/cm² for abutment with fixture, 8-10N/cm² for healing abutment and cover screw) during the connection process.
