1. Prepare the Tray: Ensure the stock tray (dentulous or edentulous) is clean and dry before application. Select the appropriate tray size (small, medium, or large) for the patient's mouth.
2. Apply ALGITAK: Shake the ALGITAK spray can well before use. Hold the spray can approximately 16cm away from the tray. Evenly spray a thin layer of ALGITAK onto the inner surface of the tray, covering all areas where impression material will be placed.
3. Allow to Dry: Wait for the adhesive to dry completely. This typically takes a few seconds due to its fast-drying formula. Ensure the adhesive is tacky to the touch but not wet.
4. Apply Impression Material: Once the adhesive is dry, apply the impression material into the tray as per the manufacturer's instructions. Place the tray in the patient's mouth promptly to ensure optimal adhesion.
5. Remove and Clean: After the impression material has set, carefully remove the tray from the patient's mouth. Clean the tray thoroughly after use to remove any residual adhesive and impression material.
