Vishal Dentocare Quick Seal Root Canal Sealer With Dexamethasone

Dexamethasone and Hydrocortisone Acetate have anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and analgesic properties, which relieve post-operative pain and sensitivity. It is bactericidal and its activity last for a long period. It is radio-opaque. There is no residual shrinkage. Thymol, Iodide, and Paraformaldehyde are powerful bactericidal, and their antibacterial activity last long. There are certain important criteria that determine the choice of a canal paste. A Particular prerequisite is a perfect tolerance by the peri-apical tissues. One must avoid any arthritic reaction, originating from the medicament content of the material. Moreover, these pastes must perfectly fulfill their role as a root-filling material being neither resorbable nor retractable over the years. Their antiseptic action must last for several hours after being placed in the canal to insure the sterilization of the organics debris which could remain in the canal after extirpation of the pulp. This action, however, must cease when the paste has hardened. The same applied to the antiā€“inflammatory action of the corticoid compounds. These pastes should not be putrescible, nor resorbable once hardened. They must be radiopaque.

Indication:

  • Definitive sealing of root canals.

Features

  • Root Canal Sealing: The Quick Seal Root Canal Sealer is designed to create a hermetic seal, preventing bacterial reinfection within the root canal system.
  • Dexamethasone: The inclusion of Dexamethasone in the sealer may offer anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce post-operative swelling and discomfort for patients.
  • Biocompatibility: The sealer is typically biocompatible, reducing the risk of adverse reactions or sensitivity in patients.
  • Radiopacity: The material is often radiopaque, allowing for easy visibility on dental X-rays to assess the quality of the root canal fillings.
  • Adhesion: The Quick Seal Root Canal Sealer is designed for strong adhesion to dentin, providing a reliable bond to the root canal walls.
  • Usage: The sealer is intended for use by dental professionals during root canal treatments, in combination with other obturation techniques.

Direction to use

  • Preparation:Ā Ensure the root canal is thoroughly cleaned, shaped, and disinfected before applying the sealer. The canals should be free of debris and bacteria.
  • Mixing the Sealer (if applicable):Ā If the sealer requires mixing. Use the recommended mixing ratios and techniques for proper consistency.
  • Application:Ā Load the sealer into the prepared root canal space using an appropriate application tool, such as a lentulo spiral, endodontic plugger, or paper point. Place the sealer in the canal incrementally to avoid overfilling. The goal is to achieve a homogeneous and continuous seal along the canal walls. Use an appropriate instrument to ensure the sealer reaches all areas of the canal, including the accessory canals and lateral canals. Carefully remove any excess sealer from the canal or the pulp chamber using suitable instrument or paper points.
  • Dexamethasone Considerations:Ā If the sealer contains dexamethasone, the corticosteroid component may provide anti-inflammatory benefits. However, it is essential to use the sealer in appropriate clinical situations.
  • Obturation (if applicable):Ā After the sealer is placed, the root canal should be obturated with appropriate filling material, such as gutta-percha cones. Use an appropriate technique, such as lateral condensation or warm vertical compaction, to fill the root canal space completely.
  • Radiographs:Ā Take radiographs to verify the quality of the root canal filling and to ensure there are no voids or gaps in the seal.
  • Post-Operative Care:Ā Provide appropriate post-operative instructions to the patient, including any necessary precautions or medications.
  • Sterilization and Clean-up:Ā Properly sterilize and clean all instruments used in the procedure, following standard infection control protocols.
