Preparation:

• Place the autoclave and sterilizing material on a flat surface.
• Remove the stopcock whistle/valve from the vent tube on the lid.
• Twist the lid anticlockwise and lift it, then fill water into the base chamber.

Loading and Sealing:

• Load the basket/dressing drum into the autoclave.
• Confirm the rubber seal is in good condition and properly in place.
• Put on the lid, press it down, and turn it clockwise until securely closed. Handles should align parallel, one above the other.

Sterilization Process:

• Press down the stopcock whistle/valve on the vent tube and turn on the power.
• After a few minutes, steam will generate. At 15±2 lb psi pressure, steam will release strongly from the stopcock.
• Allow the process to continue for 15 minutes, then turn off the power and carefully remove the stopcock whistle/valve using forceps or a cloth.

Post-Sterilization:

• Ensure no steam remains, and the pressure gauge reads zero lb psi.
• Open the autoclave by twisting the lid anticlockwise and lifting it off the base chamber.
• Remove the rack/dressing drum and store them safely.

Finalization:

• Empty water from the base chamber.
• Close the autoclave by placing the lid on it clockwise.
• Reattach the stopcock whistle/valve to the vent tube for the next sterilization.
