- Etchant Application: Apply etchant to both the enamel and dentin surfaces of the prepared cavity. Allow the etchant to remain for 15 seconds.
- Rinsing: Rinse the etched surfaces thoroughly for 10 seconds to remove the etchant.
- Blot Excess Water: Use a cotton pellet or mini sponge to blot excess water from the rinsed surfaces.
