The Raman & Weil Glutihyde 2.45% (5 Litres) is a highly effective sporicidal, fungicidal, tuberculocidal, bactericidal, and virucidal glutaraldehyde-based formulation designed for high-level disinfection and sterilization of medical and dental instruments. This solution comes with a liquid activator and is ideal for both heat-sensitive and heat-resistant instruments such as endoscopes, anesthesia accessories, tubings, dental tools containing lenses, rubber, and plastic.

Direction to use

  • Add the entire contents of the liquid activator bottle into the 5 Litre Glutihyde 2.45% solution container.
  • Shake the container well to ensure thorough activation. The solution will change color to show it is activated.
  • Clean and rinse all surgical and dental instruments thoroughly before immersion.
  • Immerse the instruments fully into the activated solution, ensuring no air bubbles are trapped.
  • Keep the instruments submerged for the recommended contact time (e.g., 10-20 minutes for high-level disinfection, or longer for sterilization).
  • Remove the instruments using sterile forceps and rinse them thoroughly with sterile water.
  • The activated solution remains stable and effective for up to 14 days. Discard earlier if it becomes cloudy or fails chemical indicator test.
