Description

Prime Dental Prime Cem Restorite Type 2 GICis a radiopaque glass ionomer cement designed for dental restorations, particularly suitable for Class II and Class V cavities, deciduous teeth restoration, and non-load-bearing Class I restorations in permanent teeth. It consists of a powder and liquid formulation, offering strong bonding and reliable performance in restorative procedures. The product is easy to mix, providing a smooth, homogeneous paste when prepared correctly. It sets within minutes, making it efficient for dental procedures. Ideal for use in filling and cavity lining, this cement is also recommended for use with calcium hydroxide or similar materials when treating deep cavities. PrimeCem Type 2 offers a shade similar to A2 or A3, ensuring aesthetic results. Store at room temperature, away from moisture and sunlight.

Packaging

Direction to use

Dispensing Powder and Liquid:

  • Use the provided measuring scoop to dispense one level scoop of powder onto a mixing pad
  • Dispense one drop of liquid separately. Ensure proper proportioning for optimal performance
  • Shake the powder bottle gently before dispensing. Invert the liquid bottle to dispense drops
  • Close the caps tightly after dispensing to avoid contamination

Mixing:

  • Divide the powder into two equal portions. Mix the first portion with the liquid for 10 seconds
  • Add the second portion of powder and mix for 20 seconds until a homogeneous paste forms
  • Use a plastic spatula or the provided scoop for mixing

Application:

  • Clean the tooth surface with pumice paste and rinse with water. Dry the surface without desiccating it
  • Isolate the tooth to avoid contamination from saliva or other liquids
  • If the pulp is exposed, cap it with calcium hydroxide or a similar material
  • When the cement mixture loses its shine, apply cocoa butter or petroleum jelly to the restoration
  • For matrix strip use, apply the strip before placement

Contouring and Polishing:

  • After 6 minutes from mixing, contour and polish the restoration under running water
  • Air-dry the cement surface after polishing, then reapply cocoa butter

Storage:

  • Store the product at 25°C, away from moisture and sunlight. Shelf life is 3 years
