Precaine is used to control pain & discomfort in a variety of dental & medical applications where anesthetics are indicated. Dual action formula provides fast onset 35-40 seconds and prolonged duration of 30 - 40 minutes. Contains Lidocaine 8% and Dibucaine 0.8% Fast-acting, effective topical anesthetic. No after taste and No systemic absorption.

INDICATIONS:

  • Indicated as a topical anesthetic for use on oral mucosa prior to local anesthetic injections, scaling and prophylaxis.
  • Also useful to relieve discomfort associated with taking impressions and intra- oral radiographs.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

  • Precaine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amine or quinoline type anesthetics

Storage:

  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.
  • Store between 59°-86°F (15°-30°C). Protect from freezing.

Direction to use

  • For topical use only
  • For best results apply to previously dried oral mucosa with cotton swab or similar applicator for adequate control of pain.
  • Do not reintroduce the cotton applicator into the bottle.
  • Removal of excess saliva during application minimizes dilution of the anesthetic and permits maximum penetration.
  • Tightly re-cap the jar after each use.
  • Not more than one ounce (28g) per patient should be applied during a 24 hour period.
