Isolation:

• Isolate the tooth to be bonded using cotton rolls or a cheek retractor to keep the area dry.

Etching:

• Apply a suitable etching gel to the buccal surface of the tooth where the tube will be placed.
• Leave the etching gel on the tooth for the recommended time (usually 20-30 seconds).
• Rinse thoroughly with water and dry the tooth completely.

Bonding:

• Apply a thin layer of orthodontic bonding adhesive to the base of the buccal tube.
• Position the buccal tube on the tooth using the occlusal/gingival positioning guides for accurate placement.
• Press firmly to ensure good contact between the adhesive and the tooth surface.
• Remove any excess adhesive around the buccal tube.

Curing:

• Use a curing light to polymerize the bonding adhesive, following the manufacturer’s recommended curing time.
• Ensure the entire adhesive area is adequately cured.

Archwire Insertion:

• Using the lead-in archwire slot, gently insert the archwire into the buccal tube.
• Ensure the archwire is fully seated in the tube.
• Use the distal notch for additional anchorage if needed.

Ligation:

• Secure the archwire using ligature ties or elastomeric ligatures, ensuring they are properly placed to maintain the archwire's position.
• Check for any signs of irritation or discomfort and make necessary adjustments.

Final Check:

• Verify the buccal tube is securely bonded and the archwire is correctly positioned.
• Ensure patient comfort and provide instructions on oral hygiene and care.

Maintenance and Follow-Up:

• Schedule regular follow-up appointments to monitor the progress of the treatment and make necessary adjustments.
• Instruct the patient to maintain proper oral hygiene and to avoid hard or sticky foods that could damage the buccal tubes or dislodge the archwire.
