• Ensure all orthodontic tools and materials are sterilized.
• Select the appropriate color (silver or clear) and length of E-Chain Long needed for the patient's treatment.

Cutting the E-Chain:

• Measure and cut the E-Chain Long to the required length using sterilized scissors or cutters.
• Ensure the length corresponds to the number of teeth or brackets that need to be connected.

Application:

• Begin at one end of the dental arch.
• Carefully hook the first loop of the E-Chain over the bracket or button on the first tooth.
• Stretch the E-Chain to the next bracket and hook it securely.
• Continue this process, ensuring each loop is properly hooked and secured over the corresponding brackets.

Adjustments:

• Use orthodontic pliers to make minor adjustments, ensuring the E-Chain is taut but not overly tight.
• Ensure the chain is evenly distributed and apply consistent pressure across all connected teeth.

Securing the Ends:

• Once the E-Chain is in place, securely fasten the ends to prevent slipping.
• Trim any excess chain to avoid irritation or discomfort for the patient.

Monitoring:

• Schedule regular follow-up appointments to monitor the patient’s progress.
• Check for any signs of wear, breakage, or displacement of the E-Chain and replace it if necessary.

Patient Instructions:

• Advise the patient on proper oral hygiene practices to maintain the health of their teeth and gums during treatment.

Emergency Protocol:

• Inform the patient to contact your office immediately if they experience any discomfort, broken chains, or loose brackets.

Completion:

• Continue using the E-Chain Long until the desired orthodontic results are achieved.
• Once treatment is complete, carefully remove the E-Chain and any other orthodontic appliances.
