The Hahnenkratt Contec Blanco Fiber Post + Drill system is engineered for endodontic treatments, featuring a double cone design that mimics the natural shape of root canals. This makes it ideal for conical and slender roots. The post tapers towards the apical tip, ensuring a snug fit and preserving more of the tooth structure.
Spiral-shaped retention lines in the apical region enhance adhesion with composite materials, providing secure bonding and protection against twisting. This design ensures long-term stability and durability of dental restorations.
The Contec Blanco Fiber Post is a reliable solution for achieving optimal root canal fit and enduring dental restorations.

Direction to use
Direction to use
- Preoperative Preparation: Ensure the tooth has undergone appropriate root canal therapy.
- Canal Preparation: Select the appropriate Contec Blanco drill size corresponding to the desired fiber post.
Use the drill to prepare the canal, following the natural shape and taper of the root canal. Ensure to drill to the required depth, avoiding over-preparation. - Post Selection and Trial Fit: Choose the appropriate size of the Contec Blanco Fiber Post based on the canal preparation.
Insert the post into the canal to check for a proper fit. Ensure it reaches the desired depth and fits snugly without excessive force. - Adhesive Application: Apply an appropriate adhesive (dental bonding agent) to the prepared canal following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Cementation: Mix the composite cement according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Apply the composite cement into the canal using a lentulo spiral or a suitable applicator to avoid air pockets.
Insert the Contec Blanco Fiber Post into the canal, ensuring it is fully seated and excess cement extrudes from the canal. - Light Curing: Light-cure the composite cement according to the recommended time by the cement manufacturer to ensure complete polymerization.
- Final Adjustments: Remove any excess cement from around the post.
Trim the post to the desired length if necessary, ensuring it does not interfere with the final restoration. - Core Build-Up: Proceed with the core build-up using a suitable core material.
Shape and contour the core to the desired form to support the final restoration (crown). - Final Restoration: Follow the standard procedure to prepare and place the final crown or restoration over the core.
Postoperative Care:
- Advise the patient on appropriate oral hygiene practices to maintain the integrity of the restoration.
- Schedule follow-up visits to monitor the condition of the restoration and the surrounding tissues.
