- Record the findings of the screening on a periodontal chart or patient record, noting the presence of bleeding or inflammation, as well as any other observations.
- After completing the screening, carefully remove the probe from the sulcus or pocket, ensuring minimal trauma to the surrounding tissues.
- Thoroughly clean and sterilize the probe using appropriate methods, following the manufacturer's instructions, before and after each use.
