• Perform a thorough screening by examining multiple sites within each tooth's sulcus or pocket. Take note of any abnormal findings or areas of concern.
• Record the findings of the screening on a periodontal chart or patient record, noting the presence of bleeding or inflammation, as well as any other observations.
• After completing the screening, carefully remove the probe from the sulcus or pocket, ensuring minimal trauma to the surrounding tissues.
• Thoroughly clean and sterilize the probe using appropriate methods, following the manufacturer's instructions, before and after each use.
