Description

Ambar Universal APS Bonding Agent is a state-of-the-art, self-etching light-curing adhesive system designed for superior adhesion to enamel and dentin. Its versatile nature allows it to be used under various acid etching protocols and on different dental surfaces. The Advanced Polymerization System (APS) technology ensures exceptional performance regardless of the moisture level in dentin. This feature makes it particularly well-suited for intracanal application, where it exhibits high adhesion rates, better polymerization, and increased compatibility with dual cements.

One of the standout features of the Ambar Universal APS Bonding Agent is its enhanced MDP (10-Methacryloyloxydecyl Dihydrogen Phosphate) content. Through careful concentration redistribution of solvents, water, and acidic monomers, the MDP has been made more reactive, resulting in improved adhesive capacity to dentin (even without previous acid etching) and indirect substrates, as well as enhanced adhesive film stability. Ensuring the highest standards of safety and health, this adhesive system is BPA-free. Moreover, its colorless aspect ensures that it does not interfere with the esthetics of restorations and cementations, providing patients with visually appealing results.

Ambar Universal APS Bonding Agent is a versatile solution suitable for a wide range of applications. It excels in all classes of direct restorations with composites (classes I, II, III, IV, and V). Additionally, it is the perfect choice for adhesive cementation in conjunction with resin cement for various prosthetic pieces, including intraarticular posts/cores, crowns, onlays/inlays, veneers, fiberglass, ceromer, ceramic, composite, and metal.

This bonding agent can also be relied upon for adhesive repairs in ceramics and composites, making it an essential tool in any modern dental practice.

Specification

  • High bond strength in different application modes: self-etching, selective-etching on enamel, and total-etching.
  • Adhesion to various surface types: metals, ceramics, CAD/CAM resin, and intracanal posts.
  • Ideal for intracanal application: Offers high adhesion rates in the intracanal region, better polymerization in the apical region, and improved compatibility with dual cement.
  • Enhanced MDP formulation: MDP is more reactive, resulting in increased adhesive capacity for dentin and indirect substrates without the need for prior acid etching.
  • BPA Free Formula: Ensuring safety and health for patients.
  • Balanced solvents and monomers: Provides high affinity for the moistened and demineralized dentin surface, leading to adequate adhesive penetration and a strong hybrid layer formation, ensuring high adhesive strength and adhesion quality.

Packaging

  • 1 x 5ml APS Bonding Agent

Direction to use

  • Preparation: Begin by ensuring the tooth surface is clean and free from any debris or contaminants. If needed, perform the necessary tooth preparation or restoration steps according to the specific dental procedure.
  • Isolation: Isolate the treatment area using a rubber dam or other suitable isolation method to maintain a dry and contamination-free environment.
  • Application: Dispense a small amount of the Ambar Universal APS Bonding Agent onto a disposable mixing well or another appropriate surface. Use a disposable microbrush or applicator to apply the adhesive to the prepared tooth surface or the restoration material.
  • Mode Selection: Choose the appropriate application mode based on the clinical situation:
  • Agitation: Lightly agitate the adhesive with the microbrush or applicator to ensure complete coverage of the surface and penetration into the demineralized areas.
  • Air Drying: Gently air dry the adhesive for the recommended time, ensuring that the surface remains visibly moist.
  • Light Curing (if applicable): If a light cure is possible and desired, expose the bonding agent. to a dental curing light for 10sec curing time. Note: for intracanal adhesive application, the photoactivation time must be extended to 20 seconds.
  • Layering (Optional): For complex restorations or when using a dual-cure cement, multiple layers of adhesive may be applied and cured sequentially to achieve the desired bond strength.
  • Proceed with Restoration: After curing the adhesive, proceed with the placement of the restorative material, composite, or other dental materials as per the specific treatment plan.
  • Post-Operative Care: Advise the patient on appropriate post-operative care and maintenance for the restored tooth or dental structure.
