SMALL POINTERS: Are used in middle stage of finishing & polishing of acrylic , also where more or less area needs to be trimmed or for sharp/less gross trimming
They are available in different grits & colors for trimming different phases of finishing & polishing:
- Extra Coarse - Dark Grey - These burs are used for finishing of major rough surfaces or cuts present on the surface of prosthesis.
- Coarse - Grey - These burs are used for finishing of major to minor rough surface of the prosthesis.
- Medium Coarse - Brown - These burs are used for finishing of mild rough surfaces of the prosthesis.
- Medium - Dark Green - These burs are used for finishing of rough corners/surfaces of the prosthesis.
- Medium Fine - Pink - These burs are used for medium fine finishing & polishing of the surface of the prosthesis.
- Fine - Green - These burs are used for fine finishing & polishing of the surface of the prosthesis.
- Super Fine - Yellow - These burs are used for super fine finishing & polishing of the surface of the prosthesis.

Direction to use
Direction to use
- Insert the instrument as deeply as possible into the Straight Handpiece.
- Set the handpiece at the required working speed before applying the instrument to the treated area.
- Apply a minimum operating force & do not exceed the recommended speed .
- Finish borders with an acrylic bur.
- Remove excess resin beyond the land area.
- Be careful to preserve the border width and contour.
- Smooth the denture bases to the proper contour with your acrylic burrs.
- Use the instruments over the entire length of their working part and not just at the tip, so as to avoid an unconscious increase of the contact pressure causing local overheating.
- Once the finishing has been completed, remove the instrument from the site and allow the bur to come to a standstill.
- It is recommended to wear gloves and safety glasses.
