Dologel 15 gm is a combination of three drugs, namely: Benzalkonium chloride (antibacterial agent), Choline salicylate (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and Lignocaine hydrochloride (local anaesthetic). Benzalkonium chloride acts as an antibacterial agent and prevents secondary infections. Thus, it promotes quick healing of mouth ulcers. Choline salicylate works by blocking the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme in the body that is involved in the production of certain chemical substances such as prostaglandins that cause pain and swelling. Thereby, it helps in relieving pain and swelling. Lignocaine hydrochloride decreases pain sensation by preventing the transmission of pain signals from nerves to the brain.

Dologel 15 gm is for external use only. You are advised to use Dologel 15 gm for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your condition. In some cases, you may experience itching or irritation at the site of the application. These side effects of Dologel 15 gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
