Dentsply ProTaper Next Refill 25mm is a dental product that includes a set of files used in root canal treatment. These files are designed to be used with the ProTaper Next system, which is the successor to the ProTaper Universal system. The ProTaper Next system is known for its versatility and flexibility, providing efficient solutions for endodontic practitioners. The off-centered rectangular cross-section of the ProTaper Next files gives them a unique "swaggering" movement as they navigate through the root canal. This design, along with the off-centered cross-section and unique file design, creates an enlarged space for debris removal during the root canal procedure. One of the key features of the ProTaper Next files is the M-Wire NiTi (Nickel Titanium) material used in their construction. The M-Wire material enhances file flexibility while maintaining cutting efficiency. This is achieved through an advanced thermal treatment process developed by Dentsply Sirona, the company behind the ProTaper Next system. The ProTaper Next Refill specifically refers to a package or set of ProTaper Next files, typically with a length of 25mm. These refills are used by dental professionals to replace worn or damaged files in their ProTaper Next system, allowing them to continue performing root canal treatments effectively.

Direction to use
Direction to use
- Prepare straight lineaccess to the canal orifice.
- Explore the canal using small-sized hand files, determine working length, verify patency, and confirm a smooth, reproducible glide path.
- Always irrigate and if necessary, expand the glide path using small-sized hand files or dedicated
mechanical glide path files. - In the presence of NaOCI, brush and follow, along the glide path, with the ProTaper Next® X1 (017/04)
file, in one or more passes, alternatively with small-sized hand files if necessary, until the working length is reached. - Use ProTaper Next X2 (025/06), exactly as described for ProTaper Next X1 file, until the working length is passively reached.
- Inspect the apical flutes of the ProTaper Next X2 file; if they are loaded with dentin, then the shape is
cut, the correspondingly sized gutta-percha master cone or size verifier may be fitted, and the canal is ready for disinfection. - Alternatively, gauge the foramen with a size 025 hand file and, if this file is snug at length, the canal is shaped and ready for disinfection.
