Dentsply Aquasil Soft Putty Regular Set 2x450ml + Aquasil Ultra XLV Cartridge set 2 x 50ml (Combo)

Direction to use

  • Tray Preparation: 
    Use Silfix Adhesive on all types of impression trays. Brush a thin layer of Silfix onto the tray surface and allow it to dry for 3 minutes.
  • Preparation of Impression Area: Clean the impression area using an air/water spray and remove any excess water.
  • Mixing and Filling the Tray:
    a) Take equal amounts of the catalyst and base using the color-coded measuring spoons provided.
    b) Knead the catalyst and base together with your fingertips until the color of the mix is uniform.
    c) Immediately fill the prepared tray with the mixed material.
    Note: Do not interchange measuring spoons and tub lids.

Impression Taking
A) Double Mix Technique (Aquasil® Soft Putty or Hard Putty with Aquasil® Ultra LV or XLV):

  • Inject the light body material using a cartridge system onto and around the tooth preparations. Squeeze the dispenser trigger with moderate and even pressure to begin mixing the material. The material will stop flowing after the trigger is released. Syringe the material completely around the preparations at the gingival margins.
  • Seat the tray within 1 1/2 minutes after the start of the mix for regular set materials and 1 minute and 15 seconds for fast set materials.
  • Retain the impression in position for at least 3 minutes for regular set materials and 2 minutes for fast set materials. Ensure that the impression is firm, resilient, and non-tacky before removal.

B) Putty/Wash Technique (Aquasil® Soft Putty or Hard Putty with Aquasil® Ultra LV or XLV):

  • For the primary impression, seat the tray within 1 1/2 minutes after mixing Aquasil® Soft Putty or 1 minute and 15 seconds after mixing Aquasil® Hard Putty. Retain the impression in position for a minimum of 3 minutes for Aquasil® Soft Putty and 2 minutes for Aquasil® Hard Putty.
  • Remove, clean, and prepare the primary impression for the secondary impression.
  • Inject the light body material onto and around the tooth preparations using a cartridge system. Syringe the material completely around the preparations at the gingival margins.
  • Seat the tray within 2 minutes and 15 seconds for regular set materials and 1 minute and 15 seconds for fast set materials.
  • Retain the impression in position for at least 2 minutes and 45 seconds for regular set materials and 1 minute and 45 seconds for fast set materials. Ensure that the impression is firm, resilient, and non-tacky before removal.
  • Cleaning, Disinfection, and Storage: 
    a) Rinse the impression under cold water and blow dry.
    b) The impression can be disinfected using a standard disinfecting solution or spray.
    c) Do not store the impression in direct sunlight.
  • Casting and Electroplating: |
    a) To avoid surface porosity of models, delay pouring with plaster for 15 minutes.
    b) The impression may be poured up to fourteen days later.
    c) The material is compatible with a range of die materials, including epoxy materials, and may be silver or copper plated. Wait 60 minutes before starting plating or pouring with epoxy.
  • Tray Cleaning Instruction: 
    a) Use standard methods to clean the tray after removing the impression material.
    b) Fix Solvent may be used to help remove any remaining layer of Silfix.
