D Tech Restore Glass is an economical glass ionomer dental restorative cement formulated with advanced calcium-based glass technology. This water-based cement features a composition of polycarboxylic acid and alumina silicate glass, offering aesthetic appeal and stability.

It is designed to match the coefficient of thermal expansion of natural tooth structure, ensuring reliable performance and comfort. Ideal for various applications, Restore Glass is suitable for the restoration of primary teeth, core build-ups, and Class III, V, and limited Class I cavities. It can also used as a core build up material. 

While it provides a durable and cost-effective solution, it is contraindicated for pulp capping and may cause sensitivity or adverse reactions in rare cases. The cement’s stability and compatibility make it a versatile choice for effective dental restorations.

Direction to use

Precautions:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear gloves, face masks, and safety eyewear during application.
  • Contact with Oral Tissue or Skin: If contact occurs, remove immediately with a sponge or cotton soaked in alcohol, then flush with water.
  • Contact with Eyes: Rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention.
  • Sensitivity Reactions: In rare cases, the product may cause sensitivity. Discontinue use and consult a physician if such reactions occur.
  • Ingestion: If swallowed, dilute by drinking water and seek medical attention.
  • Mixing Components: Do not mix powder or liquid with any other glass ionomer components.

Dispensing Instructions:

  • Powder to Liquid Ratio: Use a standard ratio of 2.5:1 by weight (1 level scoop of powder to 2 drops of liquid).
  • Powder Dispensing: Lightly tap the powder bottle against your hand. Avoid shaking or inverting the bottle.
  • Liquid Dispensing: Hold the liquid bottle vertically and squeeze gently.
  • Seal Bottles: Close bottles immediately after use to prevent contamination.

Mixing:

  • Dispense: Place powder and liquid onto a mixing pad.
  • Mixing Process: Divide the powder into 2 equal parts. Mix the first portion with all of the liquid for 10 seconds. Incorporate the remaining powder and mix thoroughly for 15-20 seconds. Total mixing time should not exceed 30 seconds.

Application of Restore Glass:

  • Preparation: Follow standard techniques as needed. For pulp capping, use calcium hydroxide.
  • Conditioning: Wash and dry the preparation.
  • Mixing and Working Time: Mix the required amount of cement. Working time is 1 minute 30 seconds from the start of mixing at 23°C (73.4°F). Higher temperatures will shorten the working time.
  • Application: Remove surface moisture but do not desiccate. Transfer the cement to the preparation using a suitable instrument and avoid air bubbles. Form the contour and place a matrix if required within the first 2 minutes of setting.
  • Final Setting: The final setting time is 3 minutes from the start of mixing.
