Cotisen Mouth Prop & Tongue Guard Set typically consists of a mouth prop and a tongue guard that are used together to facilitate access and visibility in the oral cavity. A mouth prop (also bite block) is a wedge-shaped implement used by dentists working with the patients who have difficulty keeping their mouths open wide and steady during a procedure, or during procedures where the patient is sedated. It has a rubber-like texture and is typically made from thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) material. The mouth prop is adjustable to allow for different degrees of mouth opening. Tongue Guards are autoclavable & easily used with the mouth props. The mouth prop and tongue guard set is commonly used for procedures such as fillings, crowns, and extractions, where a clear and unobstructed view of the oral cavity is needed. It is also used for patients who have difficulty keeping their mouths open during dental procedures, such as those with jaw problems or TMJ disorders.
