• 1 x Chemdent Mercury Bottle

• Prepare the cavity where amalgam restoration is required according to the specifications for the same and isolate
• Measure the silver alloy powder and mercury according to the ratio. Triturate manually or by using a triturator
• Carefully load the amalgam to the amalgam carrier and transfer to the area of restoration
• Discard the remaining amalgam according to the local waste disposal policies.
• Mercury should always be handled using appropriate barriers and should not be swallowed, come in contact with skin or any open wounds.

Question: What can be done incase of mercury spillage while handling?
Answer: Open a window to ventilate the area. Leave the room until you begin to clean up the spillage. Advise others not to enter the room until after the clean up. Locate the amalgam spillage kit. Follow the procedure for spillage and perform hand hygiene.
