Bisco Modeling Resin is a light-cured, low viscosity micro-filled resin formulation for use as a composite sculpting resin. The properties of composite naturally lend themselves to adhere (stick) to your instrument. To overcome this aggravating tackiness, MODELING RESIN was developed to aid in the placement and shaping of your composites. By wetting your instrument, MODELING RESIN can be used to place and manipulate (sculpt) all of your direct composite restorations.

Indications for Use:

  • Composite Wetting Resin

Features

  • You will enjoy composite processing with Modeling Resin.
  • It is a product beyond your expectation that you will benefit from especially when processing occlusal.
  • It does not create any negative effect on the composite.

Question: Can I use a bonding adhesive as a wetting agent for my composite placement instruments?
Answer:
BISCO does not recommend the use of bonding adhesives for this purpose due to its chemical composition. They contain solvents such as acetone or alcohol which could weaken the restoration. BISCO recommends the use of Modeling Resin. It is designed to be used as a wetting agent and facilitate the placement of all direct composite restorations.
